The refurbishment of the Le Méridien Ile Maurice followed a new
design concept that takes cues from the resort’s surrounding
tropical landscape. Located in Pointe aux Piment in northwest
Mauritius, and set on a kilometre of sandy beach, the resorts
renovation covered 261 redesigned guestrooms and suites and an
adults-only wing alongside a world-class spa and fitness centre,
three pools and a choice of four restaurants and three bars.
The guestrooms are modern and minimal with a sympathetic
colour pallete of creams and blues used to seamlessly blend the
hotel with its surroundings. Custom headboards are reflective of the
rustic materials found in Mauritius, while the contemporary
bathrooms feature large oval baths and a separate shower.
Nirvana, the adults-only wing of the resort, features guestrooms
with unobstructed ocean views and Prestige Suites complete with
private plunge pools, whilst the Royal Suites feature a separate
living and dining area and bar.

Our brief was to carry out a full renovations of the guestrooms &
suites, Nirvana Suites, public areas, food & beverage areas,
ballroom & prefunction, meetings rooms and spa. The interior
fit-out and FF&E scope included extensive civil works, timber floor
finishes, gypsum partitions & ceilings, timber ceilings, joinery works
and doors, stone and tile works, decorative concrete floor finishes,
specialist glass and decorative metal works, wallcovering, case
goods & upholstered furniture, drapery, light fittings and MEP works.
Each phase of the works was completed in the expected timelines,
proving our ability to deliver results even in demanding overseas,
tropical environments and our world class capabilities.
